This website uses many techniques that have been developed and experimentally tested to serve over a million page views per hour using mostly open source software on relatively inexpensive hardware (this assumes that the site has the bandwidth available for that much activity).

In addition, the encrypted PayPal buttons are dynamically created and we have special background programming allowing us to circumvent a major problem that PayPal has when sites branch out to PayPal and expect PayPal to return to the merchant site. The programs that do our database updating have been tuned using several special techniques so that updates that might be expected to take weeks are done in just a few hours.

This dynamically created site and all its background programs are written in C and PERL, but our technical team also does programming in assembly language, JAVA, JavaScript, .net, C#, and most other popular languages today.
